About ten years ago we found and decorated Warren's resting place in Texas as the World music icon he had become and still is. The local press cover the ceremony. Warren's family who we couldn't find prior came foward profusely thanking us. Legendary Sun artist Barbara Pittman was deeply involved along with Memphis legend Cordell Jackson in our efforts. Wonderful memories of the great deserving deserving artist he was. In many ways he fixed the image of the Rockabilly (as distinct of the somewhat less wild standard rock and roll singer)of the Big good looking wild man on stage driving the audience to a frenzy.

I almost feel Ferlin Husky and Tommy Collins were both channeling Hank in this song, Tommy by writing it Ferlin by singing it! It's the most haunting song I've heard as a tribute to Hank.

Grady didn't play guitar on PRETTY WOMAN. "There were four guitar players at the session: Roy Orbison, Billy Sanford, Jerry Kennedy, and Wayne Moss. Sanford, who later played on sessions for Elvis Presley, Don Williams and many others, played the intro guitar." Billy left session work, went on the road with Don Williams. Every night Don would introduce him, ask him to play the intro. There's videos of Billy playing with Don, he's the grey-haired guy to Don's left. He knew how good he was, nothing to prove, utter confidence. Just like Don.
